A Scary Sight

Any type of surgery can be a little scary, especially if your eyes are being worked on. Even though your doctor has spoken to you about the process, you may not feel prepared or ready to get close to a knife. Your eyes are a very important part of your body, and it is vital that you understand step-by-step what will take place during your eye surgery. There are many individuals that have gone through the process with an amazing outcome. Take the time to read up on patient’s comments and experiences, especially if it will calm your nerves and give you a peace of mind.

Ask Many Questions

If you still feel jittery and worried before your scheduled surgery, ask your doctor for details that will help to calm you down. Anything that is worrisome or bothersome to you should be discussed and cleared up before your surgery begins. This process is taking place to help benefit you and your sight. Your doctor would never have you be a part of this surgery if it wasn’t the best thing for you and your eyes. If you don’t want to follow through, there are other options that you could do, but they need to be discussed with your provider. One may be wearing glasses for the rest of your life or having several other eye problems down the road, especially if you are not willing to take the chance to correct your issues now. Try to be brave and make the right decision for you and for your sight.

  1. Yes, I had an eye surgery before, but not actually the eyeball, the skin around my right eye. My surgery was successful wherein the doctor in charge told me about what the processes and the method to use. So, I was injected and I didn't know the whole process because I fall asleep.

  6. It is best to have ample knowledge before delving into something like this, our eyes are so important that we just ignore it and don't take good care of it. So reviews, testimonials, personal experiences will really be of great help.

  8. This is one surgery that I will never undergo unless it's extremely necessary. I mean if it's to restore my vision, I would go for it. But if the situation is not that bad and I can peruse some other means to aid me in seeing clearer, surgery is a no go for me. I'm just too scared to subject my eyes under any procedure.
